<p>For instance, a very worthy charity markets luggage tags, hand made in Thailand&#8211;and on the other price end, a luscious cashmere travel wrap from Scotland&#8211;but that is all I&#8217;m telling about that  until November. And in a prior Giveaway, I awarded a gift certificate to CSN stores. Remember them? That&#8217;s the on-line collection of more than 200 stores that sell everything from <a title="Nightstands" href=" http://www.bedroomfurniture.com/Nightstands-C211215.html" target="_blank">nightstands</a> to luggage.  CSN stores have invited me to review products in exchange for giving me a gift certificate to spend as I choose, and I think I&#8217;ll go shopping.<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/29454428@N08/3273040187"><img class="aligncenter" style="border: 0pt none;" title="Ingenues arrive, Central Station, Sydney, c. 1920s / by Sam Hood" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3012/3273040187_09c6f1abbf_m.jpg" border="0" alt="Ingenues arrive, Central Station, Sydney, c. 1920s / by Sam Hood" hspace="5" width="240" height="183" /></a> I want to check out the <a title="Travel Accessories" href="http://www.csnstores.com/Travel-Accessories-C44898.html" target="_blank">travel accessories</a> and the   <a title="Luggage Store" href="http://www.csnstores.com/Luggage-C216185.html" target="_blank">luggage store</a> to see what might make a good gift. Whatever I buy will get an honest review here and on the CSN site before I recommend it on my gift list.</p>
<p>And why am I telling you all this?  Because I would very much like to have your input.  You are the &#8216;traveler who reads&#8217; that we&#8217;re putting this list together for.  I want it to be the kind of list you will print out and leave lying around the house hinting to all concerned.</p>
<p>SO&#8230;what do YOU want to see on the list?  Here&#8217;s last year&#8217;s list of <a title="Ten Perfect Gifts" href="http://atravelerslibrary.com/2009/11/16/10-perfect-gifts-for-travelers/" target="_blank">Ten Perfect Gifts for Travelers Who Read.</a></p>

CLICK TO TALK TO SANTA</p>
<p>Every day, <strong>A Traveler&#8217;s Library</strong> tries to present new, fresh ideas about books or movies that inspire travel or tales of travel experiences.  And every day, we hope to bring you something of value.  Yesterday I talked about some readers who add value to this site. I got to thinking that those ads that appear on the right-hand side of the page bring a lot of value also.<span id="more-3598"></span></p>
<p><div id="attachment_3606" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 220px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-3606 " title="A Traveler's Christmas" src="http://atravelerslibrary.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Christmas-08-002-300x225.jpg" alt="A Traveler's ChristmasOrnaments from Nashville, Philadelphia, Russia, New Orleans, Maine and Newport" width="210" height="158" /><p class="wp-caption-text">A Traveler&#39;s ChristmasOrnaments from Nashville, Philadelphia, Russia, New Orleans, Maine and Newport</p></div></p>
<p>Just in case you have never checked them out, I would like to feature some of my advertisers today. Perhaps you are in a shopping spirit. If so, I invite you to patronize my advertisers, and if you buy at Amazon, get there through this site.  When you do so, it means I can spend more time on adding value for you here at A Traveler&#8217;s Library, and less time trying to find paying writing jobs.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_3611" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 210px"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mysza/2080895858/"><img class="size-medium wp-image-3611" title="gift" src="http://atravelerslibrary.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/gift-200x300.jpg" alt="gift" width="200" height="300" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">gift</p></div></p>
<p>I always like sending (and receiving, hint hint) baskets of fresh premium grade fruit for a Christmas gift. <strong>The Fruit Company</strong> offers beautiful fruit baskets, and other food in their gourmet gift baskets. So shop for Holiday presents at <a href="http://www.pntrac.com/t/Qj1EQEFFPUNGQkZJPUJARQ">The Fruit Company-One of Oprah&#8217;s Favorite Things!</a><img src="http://www.pntrac.com/i/Qj1EQEFFPUNGQkZJPUJARQ" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p>How about a little high quality wine to go with the Fruit. While I don&#8217;t worry about taking a bottle of wine to a dinner party, I hesitate to give wine as a special present. <strong>The Wine Messenger</strong> has solved that problem for me. Just go to <a href="http://www.pntrs.com/t/Qz5CQkZBQz5ER0NHSj5CRUM">WineMessenger.com for Gift Certificates! </a><img src="http://www.pntrs.com/i/Qz5CQkZBQz5ER0NHSj5CRUM" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /> While you are at their tempting site, notice that this is the time for a semi-annual sale, and you might as well buy yourself a present as well.</p>
<p><strong>Irv&#8217;s Luggage</strong>, an on-line store, offers more than just luggage. Look for brief cases, laptop bags, and top of the line purses, like the Dooney &amp; Bourke line in the ad in my sidebar.<a href="http://www.pntrs.com/t/RUBFRkZESUBGSUVJTEBFQ0RHSw"> Top Brand Handbags Make a Great Gift! On Sale for the Holidays up to 40% Off + Free Shipping on $99+! </a><img src="http://www.pntrs.com/i/RUBFRkZESUBGSUVJTEBFQ0RHSw" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p>Your family CAN travel this holiday season, because hotel rates and airline trip prices are actually down. <strong>One Travel</strong> finds you the best rates on flights, and offers this special: <a href="http://www.pntrs.com/t/RD9EQkRHST9FSERISz9DR0JK">Holiday Airfare Sale! Save $10 Instantly Plus $12 with promo code HOLIDAY12 on your flight and hotel deals. Code valid through December 28, 09.</a><img src="http://www.pntrs.com/i/RD9EQkRHST9FSERISz9DR0JK" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p><div id="attachment_3607" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 145px"><img class="size-medium wp-image-3607 " title="Rachael and Julie the Bear" src="http://atravelerslibrary.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Christmas-08-001-225x300.jpg" alt="Rachael and Julie the Bear" width="135" height="180" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Rachael and Julie the Bear</p></div></p>
<p>And when you are flying with wee ones, be sure to keep them safe. I just love this nifty airplane travel product and its name:  <a href="http://www.pjatr.com/t/RUBESERDRkBGSUVJTEBFSUhESw">Kids Fly Safe &#8211; <strong>CARES</strong>. Watch the Video Demo!</a><img src="http://www.pjatr.com/i/RUBESERDRkBGSUVJTEBFSUhESw" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /> (Child Aviation Restraint System)</p>
<p>And when you fly, sometimes it is more convenient to stay overnight near the hotel on your way out or on your way back home. I get very excited about the great idea of <strong>Park  Sleep Fly</strong>.<a href="http://www.pntra.com/t/RD9JQkdCP0VIREhLP0NESUdE">A good night&#8217;s sleep at a hotel located close to the airport can alleviate the fear of missing your flight due to heavy traffic, bad weather or airport security measures. Book it today!</a><img src="http://www.pntra.com/i/RD9JQkdCP0VIREhLP0NESUdE" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p>The newly weds in our family are decorating an apartment in readiness for his return from service in Afghanistan. So he has requested something to help in that effort. I&#8217;ll probably turn to <strong>Burke Décor</strong>. Their variety of home decorating helps seems endless. Candles, furniture, bath accessories, even&#8211;get this Traveler&#8217;s Library fans&#8211;BOOKS! So let&#8217;s go to Burke Décor for <a href="http://www.gopjn.com/t/RUBFREdJREBGSUVJTEBGQ0tGRg">Gifts you can bring Home this Holiday</a><img src="http://www.gopjn.com/i/RUBFREdJREBGSUVJTEBGQ0tGRg" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p>For a long time now, I have bought my business cards and some other office items from one of the advertisers on these pages, <strong>Vista Print</strong>. If your needs are simple, start with <a href="http://www.pjtra.com/t/RD9EQkZJRD9FSERISz9GREdF">250 FREE Business Cards from Vista Print!</a><img src="http://www.pjtra.com/i/RD9EQkZJRD9FSERISz9GREdF" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /> But if you want to design your own card, choose from hundreds (rather than dozens) of ready designs, print on both sides of your cards, or get other items like notepads and sticky notes, Vista Prints will take care of your needs. Their site was recommended to me by fellow writers, and I am so glad I found them.</p>
<p>Finally, this being a book site, I would be remiss if I did not call attention to <strong>Books Free</strong>&#8211;a place to fill all your reading needs, including <a href="http://www.pjatr.com/t/Qz5DSUJDPkRHQ0dKPkNBQkY">Paperback and Audio Books: Booksfree.com</a><img src="http://www.pjatr.com/i/Qz5DSUJDPkRHQ0dKPkNBQkY" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p>I hope that you enjoy shopping these sites, and that you remember that shopping through <strong>A Traveler&#8217;s Library</strong> ensures we will continue to bring you new books, old books, new movies, classic movies, all those things that inspire travel. It&#8217;s easy. Just click.</p>
