Surprisingly enough, facebook will probably have a friend or two that has been to wherever I want to go. A firsthand account from someone I know is always helpful. It gives me specific names to check out online.

Where do I go when I need information? I travel in several different groups and I network. For example, I am a big LEGO fan, and there are LEGO people all over the world! It lets me connect with locals who know a lot about their area. and creates a much more interesting trip. Connect, connect connect! -r

google is a wonderful thing. and, i also try to go to the source – tourism pages for events and further ideas of where to look. YAY you for being part of a great group like this!

This might not be fancy, but when I'm about to travel somewhere, I always hit the internet and pull up the website of the resort/town/place that I'm headed. If I need more information from there, I branch out by links on those websites or through Google searches. I don't have a singular website that I always go to, so I'm afraid I'm not much help in pooling our resources here!
