Caitlin: I think the restrictions are used by some people to limit mailing. However, when I was investigating rules from my personal blog contest, I was told that Canadanian laws governing such things are different, and I have to assume other countries also have differences, so to be safe, I limit to U.S. entries. Good luck on getting to New Orleans--with or without the prize.

I've always wanted to go to New Orleans so I've bought a couple of tickets for that prize.

Intrigued on your caveat about it only being for US residents. I only saw that after I'd already bought tickets but luckily I'm currently living in the US so it doesn't matter. I haven't put any restrictions on my prizes - the donors didn't request it, I didn't think of it and there was nothing on Passports with Purpose to make me question it. Hopefully it's all good.

You're welcome, Debbie. But when I saw on the AAfC website that $150 would buy a bookshelf full of books, I could not resist. As I said--we're all about books here. And I'm hoping some of my readers will do what I'm doing and band together with friends or family and buy a bookshelf. (Hint to readers: There are other options available at the AAfc site for you to look at after we reached the $13,000 to build the school!!)

As someone whose children devour books at the same pace I remember devouring them as a child, I cannot thank you enough for your gift of a bookcase full of books. We all know how much joy books can bring, whether you sit on a lap to be read to or read yourself ;)
